FAQs

1. Can I use US currency?

Yes, we accept US and Bahamian Dollars.

2. Where do we meet driver/agent/tour operator?

If you’re arriving by air your driver will be waiting for you just outside the terminal exit door holding a sign with your family or group name on it.

If you’re doing a tour from the port, your driver will be standing outside the entrance/exit gate of the port by the water fountain, to your left and across the street.

3. Is your vehicle wheelchair/scooter accessible?

Sorry at this time our vehicles are not wheelchair or scooter accessible.

4. How do I make payment?

Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard and cash.

5. If I cancel do I get a full refund?

Cancellations requested 7 days or more before your scheduled pick up time are refunded 100%. Cancellations made within 2 days of arrival are refunded 50%. Cancellations made less than 2 days from arrival are not refundable. If you are delayed by inclement weather please advise ASAP, there is consideration for full refund under such circumstances.

6. Do your rental vehicles have the steering on the right? What side of the road do you drive on in The Bahamas?

No, our rental cars have the steering wheel on the left. In The Bahamas we drive on the left hand side of the road.

7. Is there a local customer service number I can call?

Yes, you can reach customer service at 1 242 424 TAXI (8294) between the hours of 8am – 7pm.

8. Do you have infant, baby or booster seats?

Yes, we have these seats available subject to availability.

9. If we're staying in a villa can we make a stop to the food and or liquor store?

Yes, we offer this service for a fee of $35 per half hour. Please select this option when booking our taxi services.

10. When renting a vehicle, does it come with insurance?

Yes, all rental vehicles come with mandatory third party insurance. Authorized drivers must be 25 years of age or older and be in possession of a valid driver’s license to be placed on the insurance.

11. If my flight is late what should I do?

When you made your reservation we asked for your flight number. We will monitor your flight and know when it will be arriving, however if your flight number changes it is important the let us know right away. Also, if you miss your flight it is important to let us know right away.

12. If I'm hung up waiting for lost luggage what should I do?

After your flight arrives we expect you to exit the terminal in 30 – 45 minutes. If you are delayed please contact customer service at 1 242 424 8294 or email joe@btsbahamas.com as soon as possible to advise us of your situation. Please be advised that we will not continue to wait after 1 hour has lapsed after your arrival time, if we have not heard from you.

13. What language is spoken?

English

Where can we meet you at the airport?

Just outside the arrival terminal, normally to the immediate left.
